These terms apply to the Screendex iPhone app (“Screendex”, “the app”), made by Joe Shipton (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using the app you agree to them. They work alongside Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Standard EULA”), which also applies. If the two conflict, these terms apply to the extent permitted.
1. The app
Screendex helps you organise the screenshots in your photo library into folders, with notes, links and tags. Everything you create is stored on your device (see our Privacy Policy).
2. Free and Pro features
The free version includes up to 3 folders, up to 30 screenshots filed into folders, notes and links, and a daily allowance of batched deletes in Quick Sort. Screendex Pro removes these limits and adds features such as tags, bulk actions, advanced search filters, unlimited batched deletes and data export. The current features of each plan are shown in the app and may change over time.
3. Screendex Pro purchases
- Plans. Pro is available as a monthly subscription, an annual subscription, or a one-time Lifetime purchase. Prices are shown in the app in your local currency before you buy.
- Payment. Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase.
- Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period at the then-current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Cancelling. Manage or cancel your subscription in your iPhone’s Settings › [your name] › Subscriptions, or from Settings › Manage Subscription in Screendex. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep Pro until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
- Lifetime. Lifetime is a one-time purchase that unlocks Pro for as long as we offer and support the app. It doesn’t renew.
- Refunds. Purchases are handled by Apple, so refund requests go through reportaproblem.apple.com under Apple’s policies. This doesn’t affect your statutory rights.
- Restoring. Use Restore Purchases in the app to get Pro back on a new device with the same Apple ID.
4. Your content and your photos
Your screenshots, notes, links and tags belong to you. Screendex only deletes photos from your library when you ask it to, and iOS asks you to confirm each delete. You’re responsible for the photos you choose to delete. Deleted photos go to Photos › Recently Deleted, where iOS normally keeps them for about 30 days.
Because your data is stored only on your device, it can be lost if you delete the app or your device is lost or reset without a backup. We recommend keeping your iPhone backed up.
5. Acceptable use
Don’t misuse the app, for example by reverse engineering it (except where the law allows), interfering with its operation, or using it to break the law.
6. Availability and changes
We may update, change or stop offering features, or the app, from time to time. If we discontinue a feature you’ve paid for, we’ll act fairly and in line with your legal rights.
7. Disclaimer and liability
The app is provided “as is”. We work hard to make it reliable but can’t promise it will be error-free or always available. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data stored on your device. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your rights as a consumer.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK or EU, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country and can bring claims in your local courts.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We’ll change the date at the top and, for significant changes, let you know in the app. Continuing to use Screendex after a change means you accept the updated terms.
